ARTIST STATEMENT - This piece is inspired by an encounter with a small, exhausted brown bat while I was at work. The goal is to create a memorial for that fleeting moment while exploring the fragile nature of memory itself. As we age, our minds naturally fragment the past into abstract forms—until these raw bits and pieces are all that remain.

Then there is the name. While it is a playful pun, it also captures the essence of the event. Seeing a bat is common enough, but actually getting to step in and help one survive in the wild is a truly rare experience.

The end result is a piece that reminds us of the importance of honoring those small, rare moments in our lives, and how they shape our future in strange and interesting ways.

All Geclee Prints are printed on Entrada Natural Rag 100% cotton paper. All prints come with a 0.5 in border around the artwork. 9x12 prints will ship flat with corrugated cardboard. 18x24 prints will ship in a tube.

All Canvas Pieces are printed on Artisan Archival Canvas by Breathing Colors, feature a 3/4-inch deep gallery wrap, and come ready to hang with pre-installed wire. The canvas floating frame will look similar to the one pictured above.

Payment must be completed within 48 hours of receiving the invoice, or the order will be canceled. If you change your mind or no longer wish to proceed, just let me know!

All sales are final once payment is processed. Returns or exchanges are not accepted unless the artwork arrives damaged. If your piece is damaged during transit, please contact me within 24–48 hours of delivery. I will do my absolute best to resolve the issue, though remedies cannot be guaranteed. The buyer is responsible for any applicable taxes and customs tariffs that may occur during shipping. Your information in the form will ONLY be used to process your order and send it to you. We will not sell your data.
