ARTIST STATEMENT - Breathing New Life into Forgotten Wonders
Retoyld is a love letter to forgotten toys—the ones that once sparked our imagination but ended up in attics, thrift stores, and dusty bins. More than objects, they’re pieces of childhood, echoes of laughter, and tiny time capsules of adventure.
With metallic acrylic pours, I give these relics a second act, letting color and movement breathe new energy into their worn surfaces. The way the paint flows—sometimes wild, sometimes precise—feels like memory itself, shifting and reshaping with time. Each sculpture becomes a fusion of past and present, both familiar and unexpected.
At its core, Retoyld is about rediscovery. Every piece has a history, but through art, it finds a new story—bold, vibrant, and alive again. Because sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective to see the magic that was always there.
