ARTIST STATEMENT - The Blot Series is a collection of sculptures and original paintings built around my blot style. These forms have been with me for as long as I can remember. I started drawing them as a kid and never really stopped. They’ve always been a way to quiet my mind after a long day.

This series pushes those flat doodles into something more physical. More present. I take those simple marks and experiment with them—stretching them beyond the page so they become objects instead of sketches.

There’s no deeper meaning behind them. That’s the point. They exist as they are. Abstract. Handmade. Meant to be looked at, not solved. Just something to let your mind drift with.
